Sound Effect Girl
As a kid, and even now as an adult, one thing I always find myself doing is adding sound effects to normal everyday events. Today I caught Hailey doing the same thing. A lot of Hailey’s stuffed animal toys make noises if you squeze their ears, toes, or hands. Elmo is a stuffed animal toy, but he makes no sounds or noises. This Elmo is just an everyday doll. Hailey would squeze his ear, push on his hand, and poke his belly waiting for him to do something. With each motion she would make a little sound, “whosh.”
Snow Cone
Today Hailey returned from a long weekend away, on Thursday and Friday she stayed at Gamma and Beta’s house. On Saturday she stayed at Aunt Shannon’s house and had fun playing with Autumn and Zachary. Today when she came back from all the excitement we took here to a snow cone stand near Zilker Park for her first snow cone. Hailey and I shared a pink bubblegum.
We took Hailey to the Botanical Gardens to see the koi and eat her snow cone. When we finally made it to the ponds she pointed at the koi and said “fish”. Fish, fish, fish. Hailey started walking towards the pond and had to be caught by her mother. I think Hailey planned on playing with the fish. I don’t think fish like to play like that but I could be wrong.
